Three Valleys

Privacy

Last updated October 11, 2026.

Three Valleys Wine Guide is a Chrome extension for browsing public tasting-room listings in Walla Walla Valley, Santa Barbara nested AVAs, and nested Willamette AVAs. It does not create accounts, run ads, or include analytics.

Data stored on your device

Filters, favorites, trip order, day/night theme, and window size are saved with Chrome’s local storage on this device only. Those values never leave your browser except as described below. Clearing the extension’s site data, or uninstalling it, removes them.

Network requests

The packaged winery list, trip, and favorites work offline. The map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your IP address is visible to that tile service in the same way a normal website map would be. Pins usually come from coordinates shipped in the extension. If a listing has no coordinates, the map may look up one address on Photon (Komoot) inside a regional bounding box. That lookup includes a search string (typically winery name and address), not your personal identity.

Links you click (winery websites, reservation pages, or Google Maps directions) open in your browser and are subject to those sites’ own policies.

What we do not collect

There is no Three Valleys server. We do not collect names, emails, payment data, browsing history, or your GPS location. We do not sell or share user data. We do not use remote extension code.

Permissions

storage saves your filters, favorites, trip, theme, and window size. Host access to OpenStreetMap and Photon is used only for map tiles and optional address lookup.
